Anime/manga differences after the jump.

Differences from the Manga
(What's all this about?  Read here)
  • Obligatory Koenma watching stuff scenes.  He explains the importance of combining your physical and spiritual power into one when you attack.  The ogre who’s more or less the proto-Jorge Saotome had Jorge’s voice last episode, but in this one his voice is completely different.
  • Rando has white pants in the manga and black in the anime.  In the manga his pants are apparently supposed to be the exact same ones he wore as Shorin (which are white in both the manga and anime).
  • Kuwabara’s still saying stuff in the anime (though even Genkai notes he’s supposed to be unconscious), while in the manga he doesn’t say anything until sending his spirit to give Yusuke a pep talk.
  • In the manga Rando himself explains about his spectral energy threads, saying that he’s the only demon capable of producing such threads within his body.  In the anime Genkai gives this explanation, and says “only a few” demons can make the threads, instead of just Rando.
  • While Rando throws Yusuke around, in the anime Botan tries to convince Genkai not to give her techniques to Rando if he wins.  Genkai’s not convinced.
  • When Rando feds his little servant demon to his demon fish, in the anime he first makes it human-sized and throws it at Yusuke, before apparently using psychic powers to make it fall to the fish.  In the manga he keeps it small and throws it directly to the fish.
  • After Kuwabara’s pep talk restores Yusuke’s fighting spirit, in the manga he pops up directly behind Rando and punches him with the last of his power.  In the anime he appears a greater distance away and uses his remaining power to fire a Spirit Gun at Rando.  Rando fires his own and the two beams struggle for a bit, but Yusuke’s breaks through and hits Rando.
  • After getting knocked into the lake, in the anime Rando’s energy evaporates all the water in it as he gets back out.
  • In the manga after Yusuke has used up all his power to defeat Rando, he says that he doesn’t even have the energy to adjust his balls anymore.
